In Response data are in, enter the columns of numeric data that contain the response data. Record the responses for different levels of the noise factors in different columns. For more information, view the following sample worksheets.

Static design

In this worksheet, you have a design with 3 control factors with 2 levels each, and one noise factor with 2 levels. Each control factor is in a separate column (C1, C2, and C3). The response data are in C4 and C5. Each response column contains data from one level of the noise factor.

C1 C2 C3 C4 C5
A B C Noise level 1 Noise level 2
1 1 1 12.4 13.8
1 2 2 12.3 14.0
2 1 2 12.6 12.9
2 2 1 12.1 13.2

Dynamic design

In this worksheet, you have a design with 3 control factors with 2 levels each, one noise factor with 2 levels, and 1 signal factor with 2 levels. Each control factor is in a separate column (C1, C2, and C3). The signal factor is in C4. The response data are in C5 and C6. Each response column contains data from one level of the noise factor.

C1 C2 C3 C4 C5 C6
A B C Signal Noise level 1 Noise level 2
1 1 1 1 12.4 13.8
1 1 1 3 12.3 14.0
1 2 2 1 12.6 12.9
1 2 2 3 12.1 13.2
2 1 2 1 12.7 14.4
2 1 2 3 12.8 12.6
2 2 1 1 12.4 12.1
2 2 1 3 12.0 13.4
