To ensure that your results are valid, consider the following guidelines when you collect data, perform the analysis, and interpret your results.

The reference part must have a known standard measurement
A single reference part is measured by a single operator several times to evaluate the repeatability of the measurement system. You must know the actual measurement of the reference part.
You should have 50 measurements for an adequate study
Minitab requires a minimum of 10 measurements to calculate the repeatability and bias statistics. However, for an adequate study, you need 50 measurements.
