Define Custom Taguchi Design

Stat > DOE > Taguchi > Define Custom Taguchi Design

Complete the following steps to specify which columns are factors in the design.

  1. In Factors, enter the columns that contain the factor settings for each experimental run.
  2. Under Signal Factor, indicate whether you have a signal factor. Use a signal factor when you have a dynamic Taguchi design.
    • No signal factor: Select when you do not have a signal factor.
    • Specify by column: Select when you have a signal factor, then enter the column that contains the signal factor.

In this worksheet, A and B are control factors. Signal is a signal factor. The control factors are the only columns that Minitab requires to define a design. The signal factor is needed only if you have a dynamic Taguchi design, rather than a static Taguchi design.
