Source node basics
Data source nodes contain the initial cleanup settings that define how your data is
read and standardized.

Open the node to review or adjust settings such as file structure, delimiters, text and number formatting, date handling, missing values, and text case normalization. Available options vary depending on the file type. For more information, go to Set data source options.
Open the node to quickly define the organization and characteristics of data columns within the dataset. For more information, go to Manage the dataset schema.
The data preview shows the results of the initial cleanup steps so that you can determine
whether any further cleaning steps are necessary.
Note
The data source in the Data Center has no connection to the original data file. This view is a preview only and does not change the original data file.
