You can set required fields for the ideas stage and the hopper stage. To set required fields for the phases of a methodology, go to Edit methodologies and phases.

You must complete all required fields before you can submit an idea to the steering committee or before a project can move to the active stage. If you add required fields to the ideas stage, users cannot submit their ideas for review until all the required fields are complete. If you add required fields to the hopper stage, then steering committee members cannot start projects until all the required fields are complete.

Tip

To ensure that users complete the required fields, add the fields to your company's official idea form.

  1. In the web app, select Design. If a sandbox is not available, then create one.
  2. In the sandbox, select Workflow.
  3. Under Ideas or Hopper, select Set required fields.
  4. Select the expand button , then choose the fields you want to require for the stage.
  5. Select Save.
  6. When you finish your changes in the sandbox and you are satisfied with how they will be applied in the live site, select Publish Changes.
