At times, you might need to reassign a project to a different project owner, for example, if the current project owner is leaving the team.
You can also make someone else the owner of your project from the Projects page. For more information, go to Share projects.
Steering committees are assigned based on a selection the user makes on an idea form and how the data architect has configured workflow. For example, a data architect can configure workflow to route ideas by business unit, department, location, and so on. When a user selects an option from the designated routing field on an idea form, the idea is routed to the appropriate steering committee. If necessary, a steering committee member can reassign an idea or an active project at any time; however, the steering committee is only notified when an idea is reassigned.
When a steering committee member selects a methodology to start a project in the hopper, they must assign users to the various roles on the review board. Optionally, steering committee members can also assign due dates for each of the methodology's phases. If a review board member cannot fulfill their commitment to review a project, or if a phase due date needs to change, a steering committee member can reassign review board roles and phase due dates for an active project at any time.
