A template stores a set of fields and their properties. You can use a
template to create a new table.
A template does not store data, but does store all of the following items.
Fields
Field Types
Forms
Flows
Data Processes
Views
Charts
Exports
Alarms
Raw to Clean Mapping
Auto Import Configurations
Create a template
Open an existing table and go to the
Base Tool.
Note
You cannot create a template from a mashup table or an SQL table.
Select the
Export Template
button
in the toolbar.
Minitab Connect
downloads the template as a TMM file.
Use an existing template
Go to the
Base Tool
and select
File/Text/Template.
From
Import Type,
select
Template.
Then select the
File
button
and browse to the location of the template you want to
use. When you save,
Minitab Connect
creates a new table using the fields stored in the template.
