A template stores a set of fields and their properties. You can use a
template to create a new table.
A template does not store data, but does store all of the following items.
- Fields
- Field Types
- Forms
- Flows
- Data Processes
- Views
- Charts
- Exports
- Alarms
- Raw to Clean Mapping
- Auto Import Configurations
Create a template
- Open an existing table and go to the Base tool.
Note
You cannot create a template from a mashup table or an SQL table.
- Select the Export Template button
in the toolbar. Minitab Connect downloads the template as a TMM file.
Use an existing template
- Go to the Base tool and select File / Text / Template.
- From Import Type, select Template. Then select the File button
and browse
to the location of the template you want to use. When you save, Minitab Connect creates a new table using the fields stored in the template.
