Predict new results for CART^® Regression

Run Stat > Predictive Analytics > CART® Regression. Click the Predict button at the end of the results.

Select the option that best describes your data.

Enter individual values

You can use prediction values that are stored in a worksheet, or you can enter individual values. Prediction values do not have to be in the same worksheet as the regression tree data, but must be in the active worksheet. Select the worksheet that contains the prediction values before you click the Predict button.

Enter columns of values

Complete the following steps if your prediction values are in columns.

From the drop-down list, select Enter columns of values.
Enter the columns that contain your prediction values. The predictor columns must be the same length.

By default, Minitab stores the prediction statistics in the same worksheet as the prediction values.

Enter individual values

Complete the following steps if your prediction values are not in columns.

From the drop-down list, select Enter individual values.
Enter individual prediction values. You can enter up to 3 values for each predictor. If you have more than 3 values, use columns in a worksheet to enter the prediction values.
