Enter your data for Cube Plot

Complete the following steps to specify the data for the cube plot.

This dialog box varies by the type of model that you used to fit the data.

All model types except mixture designs

Under Type of means to use in plots, select one of the following options. For more information, go to Comparison of data means and fitted means.
- Data means: Display the data means of the response for each combination of factor levels.
- Fitted means: Display the fitted means of the response for each combination of factor levels.
From Response, select the column that contains the response. If you choose Data means above, you do not need to specify a response. If you do not enter a response, Minitab displays a cube plot that only displays the design points, which is useful for visualizing a factorial design.

If you choose Fitted means above, only response variables with up-to-date models are in the list. If you do not see a response that you want, re-fit the model. For more information, go to Stored model overview.
Under Variables to Include in Plots, move the variables that you want to include in the plot from the Available list to the Selected list. If the plot uses data means, all the factors in the design are selected by default. If the plot uses fitted means, all the factors in at least one model term for the response are selected.
- Available: Lists all factors that you can show on the cube plot.
- Selected: Lists all factors that will be on the cube plot. You must plot at least 2 but no more than 8 factors.

For mixture designs, cube plots display only data means.

To display a cube plot for a mixture design, choose Stat > DOE > Mixture > Factorial Plots.
Select Cube Plot and then click the corresponding Setup button.
In Responses (optional), you can enter one or more columns that contains a response. If you do not enter a response, Minitab displays a cube plot that only displays the design points, which is useful for visualizing a mixtures design.
Under Process Variables to Include in Plots, move the variables that you want to include in the plot from the Available list to the Selected list.
- Available: Lists all factors that you can show on the cube plot.
- Selected: Lists all factors that will be on the cube plot. You must plot at least 2 but no more than 7 process variables.
