Select the display options for Descriptive Statistics (Tables)

Stat > Tables > Descriptive Statistics > Options

Select how you want to display marginal statistics and missing data. You can include missing data in the output table and calculations.

Display marginal statistics for
  • Rows and columns: Display marginal statistics for all categorical variables.
  • No variables: Exclude marginal statistics from the table.
  • Selected variables: Display marginal statistics for specific categorical variables, then enter one or more columns.
Marginal statistics provide totals for the rows and columns of your table.
Display missing values for
  • All variables: Display missing values for all variables.
  • No variables: Do not display missing values.
  • Selected variables: Display missing values for specific categorical variables, then enter one or more columns.
Include displayed missing values in calculations
Minitab uses the missing values that you chose to display (based on your selection in Display missing values for) in calculations. By default, Minitab does not include missing values in calculations.
Note

This option applies only to categorical variables, not to the associated numeric variables.
