Overview for Tally Individual Variables

Use Tally Individual Variables to list the unique values in a column and to count the number of times each value occurs. You can display counts, cumulative counts, percentages, and cumulative percentages.

For example, a market research analyst conducts a survey on cereal preferences and asks each respondent to name their favorite cereal. The analyst can obtain a list of the preferred cereals, the number of respondents who preferred each cereal, and the percentage of respondents who preferred each cereal.

To tally your raw data, choose Stat > Tables > Tally Individual Variables.
