  1. In Single column, enter the column that contains your data.
  2. In Subgroup size, enter the size of the subgroup or enter a column of subgroup values.

Subgroups across rows

In Subgroups across rows of, enter the columns that contains your data.

In this worksheet, the data for subgroup 1 are in the first row across columns 1–2. The data for subgroup 2 are in the second row across columns 1–2, and so on.

Plot subgroup means or medians

You can plot either the subgroup means or medians as points on the chart. Minitab uses the points to count the number of runs in tests for randomness.
