View more decimal places for the control limits

Use this procedure to view the control limits of your control chart in the worksheet. By viewing the control limits in the worksheet, you can easily adjust the precision by adding more decimal places. This procedure demonstrates the case for the Xbar chart. However, you can use the same basic procedure for other control charts.

Choose Stat > Control Charts > Variables Charts for Subgroups > Xbar.
Complete the dialog box as usual.
Click Xbar Options and click the Storage tab.
Under Store these values for each point, select Control limit values.
Click OK in each dialog box.
Minitab stores the upper and lower control limits in separate columns of your worksheet.
Select the columns in the worksheet in which the control limits were stored.
Right-click and choose Format Column > Numeric.
Choose Fixed decimal and in Decimal places, type the desired number of decimal places.
Click OK.
