Specify graph displays for Nonnormal Capability Analysis for Multiple Variables

Stat > Quality Tools > Capability Analysis > Multiple Variables (Nonnormal) > Graphs
Histogram with density function overlaid
Display histograms with an overlaid density function for each variable.
  • Same x-axis scaling: Display the histogram of all variables using the same x-axis scale. To specify the range of values to show on the histogram, enter minimum and maximum values. If you don't enter values, Minitab determines the x-axis range from your data.
    Minimum
Enter a minimum value to display on the x-axis of the overlaid histogram of all of the variables.
    Maximum
Enter a maximum value to display on the x-axis of the overlaid histogram of all of the variables.
  • Different x-axis scaling: Display a histogram of each variable using a different x-axis scale. To specify the range of values to show on each scale of the histogram, enter minimum and maximum values. If you don't enter values, Minitab determines the x-axis ranges from your data.
    Minimum
Specify a minimum value to display on the x-axis for each variable. If you enter one value, it applies to all variables or groups. If you enter multiple values or a column of values, the values correspond sequentially to the columns that you entered in Variables or to the groups in the By variables column. You can enter one value, multiple values, or a column of values.
    Maximum
Specify a maximum value to display on the x-axis for each variable. If you enter one value, it applies to all variables or groups. If you enter multiple values or a column of values, the values correspond sequentially to the columns that you entered in Variables or to the groups in the By variables column. You can enter one value, multiple values, or a column of values.
Probability plot
Select to display a probability plot for each variable. Use the probability plot to evaluate whether the data for each variable or group follow the selected nonnormal distribution, which is an important assumption for nonnormal capability analysis.
