Export files

You can export Workspace forms and tools to PDF, as CSV (comma-separated values) format, and to other applications.
Tip

To export more than one tool at a time, use the Shift key or the Ctrl key to select multiple tools in the roadmap, then right-click and select Export.

Create a PDF document

After you complete a form or a tool, create a PDF so that other users can view it.

  1. Complete a process map, brainstorming tool, value stream map, Monte Carlo simulation, form, or an analysis capture tool.
  2. Ensure that the form or tool that you want to export appears in the workspace.
  3. Choose File > Export > Create PDF Document.
  4. Select Create PDF.
  5. Choose a location and enter a name for the document.
  6. Select Save.

Create a CSV file

Use a CSV file to transfer data from a Monte Carlo simulation or a House of Quality to other applications.

  1. Complete a Monte Carlo simulation or a House of Quality.
  2. Ensure that the tool that you want to export appears in the workspace.
  3. Choose File > Export > Create CSV File.
    • To export Monte Carlo simulation data, select Create CSV.
    • To export House of Quality data, select Create HoQ CSV.
  4. Choose a location and enter a name for the CSV file.
  5. Select Save.
  6. Import the CSV file to the application of your choice.

Send to Microsoft® Office

After you complete a form or a tool, you can export it to Microsoft® Word or Microsoft® PowerPoint.

  1. Complete a process map, brainstorming tool, value stream map, Monte Carlo simulation, form, or an analysis capture tool.
  2. Ensure that the form or tool that you want to export appears in the workspace. You can select more than one tool at a time.
  3. Choose File > Export > Send To.
  4. Choose the Microsoft® application to export the contents of the form or tool to.
  5. View the contents of the form or tool in the Microsoft® application that you selected and edit it as necessary.
