Project templates provide the starting point for projects. Each template has a predefined roadmap. A roadmap defines the phases of the project, as well as the tools and forms to use in each phase. Project templates are based on industry-standard methodologies, such as DMAIC, QFD, Just Do It, and Kaizen.
You can use these templates as-is or customize them to create a starting point that better suits the needs of your team or organization. For example, you might customize an existing project template to rename phases and folders or add and delete tools that better suit your organization's unique systems and terminology.
To customize project templates in the desktop app, go to Customize templates in the desktop app.

Maps provide a provide a canvas to map your processes and value streams. To learn more about the different types of predefined map templates, go to Maps. Brainstorming tools provide structure to your brainstorming sessions. To learn more about the different types of predefined brainstorming templates, go to Brainstorming.
You can use these predefined maps and brainstorming tools as-is or customize them to create a starting point that better suits the needs of your team or organization. For example, you might customize a process map to use specific colors and fonts or customize a brainstorming tool to use different node labels.

Forms provide a standard way to collect the data that you need to complete your project. Forms define the project data to collect and how to collect it, for example, using text fields, drop-down lists, or data tables. They also define how the form looks, for example, font size, heading color, and so on. To learn more about the different types of predefined form templates, go to Forms.
In the desktop app, you can use these predefined form templates as-is or design a new form. To learn more about form design, go to Design a form. After you design form, you can save it as a custom template. For more information, go to Customize templates in the desktop app.
In the web app, only user-entered data values are retained when you save a form as a custom template, which is useful when you want to provide data-entry examples on forms. For more information, go to Customize templates in the web app.
