You can add a link to a variety of file types including documents, presentations,
spreadsheets, images, and any file that you created in the Minitab Solution Center.
You can add links to files in your current repository, a different repository, or
your computer.
Add a linked file from a repository
When you link to a file that already exists in a repository, Workspace creates a link
to the file’s current repository location.
- Sign in to a repository and ensure that autosave is enabled.
- Open the Navigator
, then
select .
- Select the repository that contains the file you want to link to. If you
select a different repository, you will need to sign in to access the
file.
- To narrow your options, choose Type, then select the file types to show.
- Select a file.
- Select Open. Workspace
creates a link to the file’s current repository location and adds the link
to the Navigator.
Add a linked file from your computer
When you choose a local file on your computer, Workspace uploads a copy of the file to the
repository where your project is saved and creates a link to its new
location.
- Sign in to a repository and ensure that autosave is enabled.
- Open the Navigator
, then
select .
- Select Open Local File.
- Select a file.
- Select Open. Workspace
uploads a copy of the file to the repository where your project is saved and
creates a link to its new location.
After you add a linked file, you can open and edit it from your Workspace project.
Editing linked files depends on the file type and user permissions.
