Use the
Audit Plan
to record and define audits of key inputs or key outputs that are required for
the control plan.
The
Audit Plan
answers the following questions.
Which audits are required to
maintain project benefits?
What are the requirements of
each audit? For example, define the scope, frequency, responsible function,
criteria, and reaction plan.
How-to
Determine which inputs and
outputs would benefit from an audit. Consider an audit of the process output as
well as the process inputs. Even if all important inputs remain in control and
within tolerance limits, the process output can still move to an undesirable
state.
Determine the frequency of
the audit. Audits may be as needed or ongoing.
Determine the audit
acceptance criteria based on your procedures.
