WIP time

WIP time (work-in-process time) is the amount of time that a product is in process.

WIP Time = Lead Time – (Finished Goods Inventory Time + Raw Materials Inventory Time)

Work in process is represented by the shapes between the raw materials inventory and the finished goods inventory.
