Importing a Minitab Workspace Map

Import your Workspace process maps into Minitab Simul8^® to simulate your process and predict process performance, including scrap and rework.

When you import a Workspace process map into Simul8, the structure of the map is retained as well as a subset of data fields, such as Scrap % and Rework %, that are relevant to simulation results. You can import Workspace .wspx or .qcpx projects into Simul8 (version 32, build 4868 and newer).

In Workspace, save the project that contains the process map that you want to simulate. Choose a save location on your local machine.
In Simul8, select File > New. Under Import, select Minitab Workspace.
Browse to the Workspace project that you saved in step 1.
From the drop-down menu, select the map that you want to import.
Choose to keep the original Workspace shapes or convert them to Simul8 icons.
Select OK, and your process map is now imported into Simul8.
