Step 1: Create a deployment and upload baseline data

This step demonstrates how to create a new deployment and upload baseline data for a champion model.

Create a new deployment for a CART® Classification model

Follow these steps to create a new deployment in Minitab Model Ops®. For this example, we use a Minitab project that contains a CART® Classification model. To download the corresponding data sets, go to Deployment scenario and data sets: Deploy a Minitab model.

  1. Sign in to Minitab Model Ops to open the Deployments page.
  2. Select New Deployment.
  3. In Deployment Name, enter HeartBinary as the deployment name.
  4. In Model Source, select Import New Model to import the model from your files.
  5. Select Next.
  6. Under Project File, browse to the file that contains the model to deploy.
  7. Under Model, select the classification model to deploy.
  8. Select Use training data for baseline data to upload the training data with the model.
  9. Under Model Name, enter the name of the model.
  10. Select Create Deployment.
Note

If you like, you can import a model to the model repository and then create a deployment. For more information, go to Deploy from the model repository.

Deploy the CART® Classification model

  1. On the Deployments page, go to the HeartBinary deployment. The status is Offline.
  2. Select Activate Deploy a model.
  3. The deployment status changes to Active.
