Data requirements

The Minitab Data Center supports files with up to 4000 columns. Each column has a data type of numeric, text, or date/time.

Numeric

Numeric values between -1e18 and 1e18 are valid.

Text

Text values are truncated when longer than 80 characters.

Date/Time

The Data Center recognizes most date/time formats. The Data Center assigns the column a text or numeric data type for unrecognized formats.

The following table shows a few examples of the acceptable formats.

Minitab recognizes date/time formats based on formats specified in the regional and language settings.
