Minitab Data Center files
The Minitab Data Center has 2 types of files that can be
opened only in the Minitab Data Center.
Project file (.MDCX)
The Minitab Data Center project file saves the configured steps, the connection information to the source file, the initial cleanup, and read options.
Complete the following steps to save a project file.

. - From File Type, select mdcx (Minitab Data Center project).
- Enter a name and select OK.
Steps file (.MDCS)
The Minitab Data Center steps file saves all configured data prep steps. With this file, you can import data prep steps to other files that match your data schema. For more information, go to Example of importing/exporting data prep steps.
