Use Number Range Slicer, Date Range Slicer, and Category Slicer to show a subset of the data on graphs and tables.
Use these three controls to display data on the dashboard only within a specified range or group. For each slicer, use Select one or more variables on the right side of the screen to specify one or more variables to control the display. Once you select a variable, the title of the control uses the name of the variable. Use the Title control on the pane to change the title.
When you are in Edit
mode, you can select values for
the slicer in the slicer pane. The dashboard uses the values you specify as the default values
when in Present
mode. You can adjust these
values in Present
mode, but the slicer reverts to the previous values when you refresh the dashboard or begin a
new session. If you want to change the default values for the slicer, you must do so in
Edit
mode.
If you select a Date Range Slicer, the minimum date is 01-01-1900 and the maximum date is 12-31-2099.
The dashboard does not display the asset if the slicer filters out all the data. If you add multiple variables to a slicer, the dashboard does not display the asset if you filter out all the data for one of the variables, even if the slicer does not filter all the data for other variables.
