How do I change license types?

A valid license is required to use Minitab® Statistical Software. Sometimes it may be necessary to switch from one license type to another. For example, you need to change your license type when you switch from a multi-user license to a desktop application that is authenticated through the Minitab License Portal.

To change the license type for the Minitab desktop app (version 20 or later) on a PC:

Choose Help > About Minitab.
Select Change License Type.
Under Select a licensing method, select Sign In.
At the bottom of the dialog, select Sign In.
