Start a non-workflow project (if available)

If your subscription is configured to allow non-workflow projects, you can start a non-workflow project to skip the review and approval process required by workflow. After you start a non-workflow project, it cannot become part of the workflow process. Non-workflow projects can be included in the dashboard; however, only administrators, data managers, and data architects can determine whether to include or exclude them.

As a user, you might start a non-workflow project to use Engage's tools outside of the context of an official project, for example, creating a one-off process map or brainstorming ideas during a meeting. As a data architect, you might start a non-workflow project when you are prototyping a new methodology or testing new forms.

  1. Open the desktop app, then choose File > New.
  2. Under Non-Workflow Projects, select the project template to use for the non-workflow project. Engage opens the template so you can start your project.
