An engineer wants to assess the measurement system variation in a pipe coating process. The engineer selects 10 pipes that represent the expected range of the process variation. Each pipe is coated with either a slow-cure or a fast-cure epoxy coating. The engineer wants to determine whether the coating difference introduces part-to-part variability. Three operators measure the 10 parts, 4 times per part (twice with each coating), in random order.
