A quality control manager in a hospital laboratory wants to assess the equipment that is used to measure blood clotting time. The manager selects blood samples that represent the expected range of the variation. Three technicians measure five samples twice, for a total of 30 measurements. Each sample is unique to the technician, that is, no two technicians measured the same sample.
