Review active projects

In the active stage, project owners execute their projects, and when ready, submit them to the review board for phase review. When a project is submitted for phase review, the members of the review board who are responsible for reviewing the phase are instantly notified. Once a project is in the active stage, it remains there until all phases are completed and approved, or until it is deleted. Only steering committee members can reassign review board members of an active project. For information on how to edit the review board, go to Reassign ideas and projects.

Submit a project for phase review (project owners)

With workflow on, a project must be approved at each phase before it can move to the next phase. The project owner decides when the project is ready for a phase review.

To submit a project for phase review, the project owner must do the following:

  1. In the web app, on the Workflow tab, click Active.
  2. Click Submit to Review Board. The reviewers responsible for reviewing the phase are notified. To see the list of reviewers, click the people icon next to the phase.

Approve or reject a project phase (review board members)

Review board members decide whether a phase is approved or rejected. All phase reviewers must approve the phase before the project can move to the next phase. If just one reviewer rejects a project at a specific phase, then the project owner is notified so they can fix the project and resubmit it.

To approve or reject a project phase, a review board member must do the following:

  1. In the web app, on the Workflow tab, click Active.
  2. Click Approve or Reject. The project owner is notified of the action. To see the status of each reviewer's action, click the people icon next to the phase.
