Create personal form templates

When you create or edit a personal form, you define the form's layout and the data you want to collect. You cannot create personal templates in a Companion subscription.
  1. On the Insert tab, click Form,
  2. Choose Blank Form to create a new form from an existing form, or choose the form to edit. and then click Create.
  3. On the Form tab, click Design. In design mode, you can use layout grids to align objects, insert controls, tables, and graphs and so on. For more information, go to Form design.
  4. After you complete the form template, switch to fill-out mode to test it.
  5. (Optional) In fill-out mode, on the Form tab, click Protect Form, and then enter a password to turn on password protection. Only users who have the password can use the form.
  6. In fill-out mode, choose File > Save As Template > Save As Form Template.
  7. Enter a name for the template and click Save.

    By default, Companion saves the template to your Personal templates folder. To change the default location of the Personal folder, go to Specify where personal templates are saved.
