Example of Pairwise Averages

The following example shows how to calculate the means of each possible pair of values, including each value with itself.

  1. In C1 of the Data window, enter 1 2 3.
  2. Choose Stat > Nonparametrics > Pairwise Averages.
  3. In Variable, enter C1.
  4. In Store averages in, enter C2.
  5. Select Store indices in, then enter C3 and C4.
  6. Click OK.

Results

Column C2 contains the pairwise averages. Columns C3 and C4 indicate the row of the values that Minitab uses to calculate the average.
