Area under a connect line

This macro calculates the area under a connect line, which has application in Genetics, Plant Pathology, Agronomy, Nematology, Breeding Entomology, and so on. Specifically, it may be beneficial to those interested in the area under the disease-progress curve (AUDPC).

Download the Macro

Be sure that Minitab knows where to find your downloaded macro. Choose File > Options > General. Under Macro location browse to the location where you save macro files.

Important

If you use an older web browser, when you click the Download button, the file may open in Quicktime, which shares the .mac file extension with Minitab macros. To save the macro, right-click the Download button and choose Save target as.

Required Inputs

Two columns of paired or x-y data.

Running the Macro

Suppose the x- and y-values are stored in columns C1 and C2, respectively. To run the macro, choose View > Command Line/History and type:

%AREAUNDER C1 C2

Click Run.
