Suppose the data are in C1, the weights are in C2, and C3 and C4 are empty. The weighted mean will be stored in C3 and the weighted standard deviation will be stored in C4.

- Choose .
- In Store result in variable, enter
`C3`. - In Expression, enter
`SUM(C1*C2)/SUM(C2)`. - Click OK.

The square of the weighted standard deviation is the weighted variance.

- Choose .
- In Store result in variable, enter
`C4`.The weighted standard deviation is stored in this column. - In Expression, enter
`SQRT(SUM(C2*(C1-C3)^2 )/((SUM(C2/C2)-1)*SUM(C2)/SUM(C2/C2)))`. - Click OK.
###### Note

If there is a 0 in the weight column, you will get an error because you can't divide by 0.
