How to interpret the location parameter

The location parameter determines the position of the data distribution along the x-axis. The location is either estimated from the data or specified based on historical process knowledge.

The location parameter defines the shift of the data. A positive location value shifts your distribution to the right, while a negative location value shifts your data distribution to the left.
