What is a line plot?

A line plot is a graph that you can use to compare response patterns for two or more groups. This graph has two distinct applications.

Line plot with symbols

Use this type of line plot to compare summary statistics for a 2-way design. Lines that cross or depart from parallel indicate an interaction. This use is similar to that of an interaction plot.

Line plot without symbols

Use this type of line plot to determine how well the profiles of different items align. Because this type of line plot has many more groups, it is similar to the PLS Calculated X Plot.
