Create a line plot with groups on separate panels

You can create a line plot with groups that display on separate panels.

For example, this line plot compares the response patterns of the diameters of plastic pipes measured over three weeks, paneled by the machine that produced them.

You can split any line plot in panels as long as you have a categorical variable to define the panels.

  1. Choose Graph > Line Plot.
  2. Choose the type of graph that you want, then click OK.
  3. Enter the data that you want to graph.
  4. Click Multiple Graphs, then click the By Variables tab.
  5. Under By variables with groups in separate panels, enter one or more columns of categorical data.
  6. Click OK in each dialog.
