Create a simple dotpot

You can create a simple dotplot to assess the shape and spread of a distribution.

For example, this dotplot shows the calcium intake of a group of children.

To create a simple dotplot, you must use a worksheet that contains a column of measurement data.

Example worksheet

  1. Choose Graph > Dotplot.
  2. Under One Y, choose Simple, then click OK.
  3. Under Graph variables, enter a column of numeric or date/time data. In the example, Calcium is the graph variable.
  4. Click OK.
