Which types of ANOVA are included in Minitab Express?

Minitab Express offers several types of analysis of variance tools to help you investigate and model the relationship between a response variable and one or more predictor variables.

One-Way ANOVA
To determine whether the means of two or more groups differ, perform a one-way ANOVA. In Minitab Express, choose:
  • Mac: Statistics > ANOVA > One-Way ANOVA
  • PC: STATISTICS > ANOVA > One-Way ANOVA
Two-Way ANOVA
To determine whether group means are different when you have two categorical factors. In Minitab Express, choose:
  • Mac: Statistics > ANOVA > Two-Way ANOVA
  • PC: STATISTICS > ANOVA > Two-Way ANOVA
Main Effects Plot
To illustrate with data means how one or two categorical factors influence the continuous response. In Minitab Express, choose:
  • Mac: Statistics > ANOVA > Main Effects Plot
  • PC: STATISTICS > Exploratory Plots > Main Effects Plot
Interactions Plot
To illustrate with data means how the effect of one categorical factor on a continuous response depends on the value of a second categorical factor. In Minitab Express, choose:
  • Mac: Statistics > ANOVA > Interaction Plot
  • PC: STATISTICS > Exploratory Plots > Interaction Plot
Factorial Plots
To illustrate how the factors influence the response and determine whether the factors interact with fitted values from a two-way ANOVA model. In Minitab Express, choose:
  • Mac: Statistics > ANOVA > Factorial Plots
  • PC: STATISTICS > Factorial Plots
