Data considerations for Factorial Plots

For the graph to represent your data most effectively, consider the following guidelines.

The model should provide a good fit to the data
Verify that the model meets the assumptions of the analysis before you interpret the plots. For more information, go to Interpret the key results for Two-way ANOVA.
Perform a two-way ANOVA first
Factorial plots create graphs with fitted means from a two-way ANOVA model. If you did not perform a two-way ANOVA in Minitab Express, you do not have a model to use. You can create Main Effects Plot and Interaction Plot with data means instead of fitted means.
