Create an individual value plot of a single Y variable with groups

In the Individual Value Plot dialog box, complete the following steps to specify the data for your graph. If your data are arranged differently than described below, go to Choose an individual value plot.

  1. In Variable, enter the numeric column that you want to graph.
  2. In Group variable, enter the column of categorical data that defines the groups.

In the following worksheet, Elastic is the variable and contains elasticity measurements for a sample of plastic. Additive is the group variable and indicates which additive was mixed with the plastic. The graph shows the individual data values for each additive.
