Create a bar chart of a function of multiple Y variables: simple

Complete the following steps to create a bar chart that displays a function of multiple continuous variables. If your data are arranged differently, go to Choose a bar chart.

  1. Open the dialog box.
    • Mac: Choose Graphs > Bar Chart > Mean or other function of a continuous variable > Multiple Y variables: Simple.
    • PC: Choose GRAPHS > Bar Chart > Function of a variable > Multiple Y Variables: Simple.
  2. In Function, select the function of the continuous variables that you want to graph.
  3. In Continuous variables, enter the columns of measurement data that you want to graph.

In the following worksheet, Week 1, Week 2, and Week 3 are the continuous variables. These columns contain diameters of plastic pipes that are manufactured each week for three weeks. The graph shows the mean pipe diameters for each week.
