Enter your data for Bootstrapping for 2-Sample Means (Data tab)

On the Data tab of the Bootstrapping for Difference in Means dialog box, select the option that best describes your data.

Both samples are in one column

Complete the following steps if your data are in one column and group identifiers are in a second column.

  1. From the drop-down list, select Both samples are in one column.
  2. In Samples, enter the column of numeric data that you want to analyze.
  3. In Sample IDs, enter the column that contains the group that each observation corresponds to.
  4. In Number of resamples, enter the number of times Minitab should take resamples of your data. Minitab takes a resample by repeatedly sampling with replacement from the original dataset. The sample size for each resample is equal to the sample size of the original dataset.

You can enter any value from 1 to 1,000. Usually, a large number of resamples works best.
