Blocked MAC address when creating a new license file

You get one of the following error messages when you enter an invalid MAC address:

The MAC address you entered is blocked.
The MAC address you entered appears to be from a Virtual Private Network (VPN) adaptor. Please use the MAC address from your local area connection instead.

The address may be invalid because it is a generic MAC address in the operating system or a known VPN client MAC address. To correct this problem, go to Topic ID 2084 to locate a valid MAC address.

Note

Valid MAC addresses include Ethernet or Wireless adapters.
