Air conditioner reliability data

A reliability engineer assesses the failure rate of a specific air conditioning unit that is used in commercial jet planes. The engineer collects failure data for air conditioning units in 13 airplanes. Each time a unit failed, it was repaired and returned to service.

You can use this data to perform a repairable systems analysis and to demonstrate Parametric Growth Curve.

Worksheet column Description
System The airplane identification number. Air conditioners from 13 airplanes were sampled.
Failure The number of days between air conditioner repairs. The final time for each system is the final failure for that airplane.

For instance, data on airplane 1 is contained in rows 1-6. The first repair occurred on day 94, the second repair occurred on day 109, and the final air conditioner failure occurred on day 393.
